Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough has filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against a former assistant at The Woodlands Bible Church, alleging extortion following her sexual harassment claims and a demand for $6.5 million.
In response to allegations of sexual harassment, the Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough has filed a lawsuit against Susan Kenningham, who worked as an administrative assistant at The Woodlands Bible Church in the past.
The lawsuit is expected to be worth multiple millions of dollars. Keough claims that Kenningham, along with Houston attorney Chad Pinkerton and journalist Wayne Dolcefino, manufactured the allegations in order to extort $6.5 million from him and to ruin his image.
As per Judge Keough, the lawsuit names the church and a few elders as defendants in the complaint.In the lawsuit that Keough filed, which was 27 pages long, it was said that the allegations were part of a planned and organized effort to destroy his reputation and seek a hefty settlement.
According to the records filed in the court, Pinkerton sent a demand letter to Keough on September 10th. Keough, who established The Woodlands Bible Church more than a decade ago, has been serving as the Montgomery County Judge since 2018. He was re-elected for a second term in 2022 because of his success in 2018.
Specifically, the case highlights the increasing legal issue and the potential repercussions it may have for Keough's career as well as his image in the community.
