Reynaldo Lujano, who is 33 years old and lives in Conroe, has been indicted for a felony of the second degree after investigation by the police. It was approximately 3:30 in the morning when Lujano's truck allegedly collided with Caceres-Torres while he was crossing the road on his bicycle. The event took place on Texas 105, close to FM 1485.
Investigators were able to identify a large vehicle that was driving away from the scene of the accident thanks to dash cam footage that was provided by an Uber driver who saw the victim lying in the center of the roadway. The license plate of the truck was located by the authorities with the use of security footage from local businesses, as well as cameras belonging to Flock Safety cameras.
The video showed features that made the truck stand out, such as big wheels, tires too big for the wheels, broken headlights, and cab lights, which helped police identify Lujano.
