Where to Find Free Thanksgiving Meals and Turkeys in Conroe- Houston Area

This Thanksgiving, many groups in the Conroe - Houston area are stepping up to help needy families by giving them free food and turkeys. The goal of these events is to make the holidays less stressful while also giving people a chance to help their community by helping.

Here is a list of useful resources:

  1. Friends of Conroe will have meals to go at several sites on November 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

  1. Food will be served by the Salvation Army Montgomery County in Conroe on November 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  1. The Equality Health Foundation is giving away 1,000 turkeys and hams at the Healthy Fall Festival at the M.O. Campbell Center on November 25 from 9 a.m. to noon.

  1. Great Feast Houston: At the George R. Brown Convention Center on November 28, the City Wide Club will have "Grab 'N Go" or "Sit 'N Sup" meals. Help is needed to get ready for November 27.

  1. Turkey Time with the Texans: On November 26, the Texans and Kroger will give away 1,000 Thanksgiving meals at NRG Stadium.

  1. The Savoy is giving away 500 free meals in the Third Ward on November 26 at 4402 Emancipation Avenue.

  1. Katy Christian Ministries is giving away 1,200 turkeys or hams through their food store program. 

  1. The Pearland Neighborhood Center is asking for gifts of non-perishable food items and holiday food aid.

  1. Cypress Assistance Ministries is giving away food boxes for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  1.  Living Word Fellowship Church will give away Thanksgiving baskets, and on November 24, they will have a feast.
